APR-JUNE DROP-IN Wee Willows Monday Session

Recently moved to the area and been struggling for places to go to with 2 under 2. I have experienced a lot of places not welcoming me and my girls but Lisa was very welcoming and I love her thought behind the outdoor play and she has been in so much effort from setting up dinos too making dens and having sparkles in the water! My daughter had the best time! Was also a great opportunity for her to be around fire in a safe environment which I think was great! Will definitely be back weekly. Even after one session I can see my daughter being more confident!

We are now open for sessions at the weekend!

Saturdays and Sundays at 10am - 11:30am

Come along on a Saturday or Sunday morning for 90 minutes of woodworking, outdoor crafting, fire skills and lots of play!

These sessions are a stay and play and open to all ages.

Tickets are for children only, no need to pay for adults.

Yesterday was my grandson’s first visit and he really enjoyed himself. Everyone was friendly. He struggles with school but he definitely wants to go back and said he feels happy and safe there and enjoyed the outdoor setup. It didn’t take him long to settle in which was a bonus.

Had our 2nd visit to Willows Outdoor Learning yesterday - it is such a lovely, well set up area! We love all the variety of experiences, allowing lots of skills to be used, as well as new ones learnt too. With being an enclosed area it allows the kids freedom to explore, whilst also being safe too, which is great! Lisa is a lovely lady, who includes everyone during the session and is great with the kids, giving them various opportunities but always keeping safety in mind and has a great way explaining this to them. Think we'll be regular visitors!

We have been to Willows twice now and have all really loved our visits. Lisa is very engaging with the children. I have a 5 and a 2 year old and both have really enjoyed the activities set up here.  My son particularly enjoys the tools area and it’s lovely to see him explore real tools with peace of mind being taught by Lisa. She has and a great way of explaining the very important safety aspects whilst also keeping the task fun with lots of encouragement and praise.

Wee Willows sessions for throughout the Summer holidays! 

These are aimed at children ages 0-5 years. 

These sessions will run 9:30-11am on weeks 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the summer holidays. 

Each session will include using tools, outdoor crafting, den building, lots of play and toasting marshmallows!

Wee Willows Summer Holidays

Wild Willows is a weekly outdoor learning session designed for home educated and flexi-schooled primary-aged children. We offer both a drop off and adult stay and play. 

&nbsp;

These sessions provide children with time, space and freedom to learn through real experiences outdoors while building confidence, independence and practical life skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.

&nbsp;

Children will have opportunities to:

• use real tools safely (saws, hammers and woodworking projects)

• take part in creative building and crafting

• explore simple science experiments

• learn around the campfire

• build dens and work together on projects

• develop friendships and teamwork

• enjoy child-led outdoor play

&nbsp;

Sessions can be booked individually or as part of a block.

Please ensure your child takes a snack, lunch and a water bottle.

Wild Willows - Home Ed/Flexi Sessions DROP IN/PAY AS YOU GO

Come along and join us through the Summer Holidays where you can learn to use tools, tie knots, build dens and make new friends.  These sessions are generally for primary school aged children.

&nbsp;

Each session will be filled with lots of activities, learning and games.  We will have a wood working project, a science experiment and light the camp fire each day.  

&nbsp;

The children will also have freedom to play and explore in the mud kitchen, house corner, hammocks, use the walkie talkies etc.

&nbsp;

Please ensure your child comes with a snack, lunch and water bottle.

&nbsp;

Friday Willows Summer Holidays

A practical, hands-on training day designed to support teachers, nursery staff and school staff to feel confident delivering meaningful outdoor learning experiences within their own settings.

&nbsp;

This immersive session focuses on simple, realistic approaches that can be implemented immediately in playgrounds, school grounds or local outdoor environments.

&nbsp;

The day includes:

&nbsp;

• Understanding the benefits of outdoor learning for wellbeing, engagement and brain development

• Exploring child-led and strength-based learning approaches

• Practical experiences using simple tools safely

• Den building, crafts, loose parts play, camp fire introduction and nature-based activities and ideas

• Supporting confidence with risk-benefit approaches

• Ideas suitable for playgrounds, grass areas and tarmac environments
